Plus 16 - Lake Marshes
Lake Marshes, 8x8, Oil on Gessoed Hardboard
Painted 7/9/14
I like the effect I got on the trees with the pallet knife. It almost looks as if the leaves are blowing in a breeze with the sun reflecting on them...
I am a beginning painter. I have seen and experienced the work of true artists. These artists are the people that I look up to, follow, aspire to be like, and dream to paint like! I am only a beginner, a fledgling. Before 2009 I had never touched a brush, mixed paint, or felt the gentle glide of a loaded brush across canvas or board. Once I did, I was hooked. It's been said that you find your own way, your own style, after the first 100 paintings. Well, here I go! Let the journey begin! --SK
